About the session
From children listening to parents, hot shots listening to mentors and clients listening to Agile coaches, the best wisdom in the world will often be ignored until someone realizes they need it. Sometimes, people just need to learn for themselves. As Agile coaches, we do try to dispense the wisdom up front. Slide after slide, we share the things we’ve learned. But, all too often wisdom is only gained from having gone through an experience. You can’t gain wisdom or experience through PowerPoint. In this talk, Jim Damato will share (with PowerPoint!) some of the lessons learned that executives have shared with him about Agile Transformation, whether it is getting buy-in to begin, prototyping Agile with a few teams, or moving to a larger scale transformation.

Jim Damato – Agile Transformation Lead
Jim Damato is a senior technology leader with 25 years of responsibility and accountability for taking enterprise initiatives from vision and strategy thru rollout and operations. He has been successful in environments like publicly traded companies, quick-growing startups, and federal agencies, starting as a software engineer in Silicon Valley in the heyday of the Internet where he was first exposed to early Agile techniques.
