What’s Changing?

Atlassian is rolling out price increases across multiple products and plans. In addition to these price changes, some packaging updates will impact specific features in Jira Service Management (JSM). Here’s a quick overview of the changes:

*If you are not sure if you currently benefit from Advantage Plan, get in touch with us and we will clarify this for you.

Key Packaging Changes for Jira Service Management:

In line with their mission to provide a service management solution for teams of all sizes, Atlassian is also making changes to the packaging of Jira Service Management (JSM) Cloud. The effects will vary depending on your current plan and usage. Valiantys and Atlassian are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible.

  • Standard Plan: Features such as incident conference calls, major incidents, Post-Incident Reviews, and more will be moved to Premium and Enterprise plans. Standard plan users who need these advanced features will need to switch to Premium or Enterprise. If you’re using advanced incident, problem, and change management features, you will receive a 12-month grace period starting at your next renewal before needing to switch to Premium or Enterprise to retain them. If you haven’t used these functionalities in the last six months, you won’t receive a grace period, and the features will be removed upon your next renewal.
  • Premium and Enterprise Plans: A new consumption-based pricing model will be introduced for Assets objects and Virtual Agent conversations. Premium and Enterprise customers will have limits on the number of objects and conversations included in their plan, with additional usage billed at a set rate. With the new model, it’s essential to monitor your usage of Assets objects and Virtual Agent conversations to avoid additional charges. If you are using 80% or more of the new limits, you’ll have a 12-month grace period starting at your next renewal to adapt to these changes. Talk to us about locking in advantaged pricing when your grace period is coming to an end.

How to navigate these changes:

  • All Annual Cloud Customers: Review your current usage: are you approaching the limit of your user tiers, or will you do so in the coming months? Are you on Standard and reliant on features moving to Premium? Now is the time to get a quote for an Upgrade and lock in today’s pricing until the end of your subscription.
  • Annual Cloud Customers with a renewal due within 90 days: Even if you have no need for an upgrade, you can lock in the current pricing by renewing your subscription for up to 24 months.
  • Premium Customers: If you have a large user base and are interested in Enterprise features it is well worth requesting an Enterprise quote. Depending on your user tier the price difference may be smaller than ever, especially considering the free inclusion of Atlassian Guard in the Enterprise Plan.
  • Monthly Cloud Customers: Monthly subscriptions will be affected by the new pricing from day 1. Switch to annual billing to secure current pricing for up to 24 months and you will pay for 10 months a year instead of 12.
  • On Premise Customers: If you are considering a move to the Cloud, this is the best time to take the leap and secure Cloud licenses before the price increase takes effect.

  • Prepare license quotes lightning fast to get today’s prices locked in for you.
